Draft Needs: Because the Packers are switching defenses to a 3-4 defense, they should draft mostly defensive players to play the 3-4. I think the #1 need is a big NT to cloge up the middle and take on as many blockers as possible. Second need is a CB. Al Harris and Charles Woodson are not getting any younger and even though Tramon Williams played well last year, they need another good young cornerback. The third need is the entire offensive line. The offensive line was one of the Packers biggest weaknesses last year and they need to make some changes.
Round 1: Malcolm Jenkins CB Ohio State - I have watched every single college football game this guy has played and I would love to get him on the Packers. He is not just a great cornerback, he is a valuable special teams player, and he is a leader. When Ohio State was losing or there was some controversy, Jenkins was the one in everyones face getting them fired up. He is a game changer.
Round 2: Eben Britton OT Arizona - I believe Britton can come in right away and start at tackle.
Round 3: Travis Beckum TE Wisconsin - I have watched many of his games and he is a very underrated TE. I think it would be a steal to get him in the 3rd round as long as he can stay healthy. I don't know if Jermichael Finley has what it takes at TE and I think Beckum would give the Packers a great receiving future TE.
Round 3: Ron Brace Boston DT College - I have watched some film of Brace and his teammate Raji and I believe Brace will be as good as Raji (who is projected to be drafted in the first round) in the NFL. He is 6-4 345 and would be the mammoth we need in the middle of the defense.
Round 4: Demontre Bolden DE Tennessee - Bolden is 6-6 and almost 300 pounds. He is the perfect size to be a DE in a 3-4.
Round 5: Travis Bright OG BYU - Provides much needed depth on the O-Line.
Round 6: C.J. Spillman S Marshall - Gives us some depth behind Collins and Rouse.
Round 6: Tyrell Sutton HB Northwestern - I have watched him at Northwestern for a few years now and I love the way he plays.
Round 7: Brett Helms C LSU - Just provides more depth on O-Line.
